Amaretto Breedable Pets Traits

This is a page that is dedicated to the Amaretto Breeding Pets Traits and and Trait Slots !   I do not work for Amaretto though they are some of the most helpful and nice people that I know in the Second Life grid. If you are a breeder you need to understand what traits and trait slots mean for your animals. A lack of understanding will first off mean that you will have a harder time getting the pets to look the way you want them to and as well mean you will not value your pets correctly in the market. A higher trait animal will have a better value based on both rarity of the traits and breed as well its appearance. A just plain 12 trait dog for example with all 6 nulls will command a market value better than a 7 trait ... unless that 7 trait is a rare breed or has newer rare trait. One breed trait that has is new each month are the Crazed Coats which come from breeding to animals of the same breed together during the month that breed is deemed as crazed.   These coats when are dropped that month are worth from 15K  to 50K lindens on up the first month as other breeders try and get them depending one whether its a bird, puppy or horse. A new Crazed Coat with rare traits is worth even more. For example a new Crazed Coat with a new ear or wing trait as well could add over 10 to 20 K more to that animal and this value can hold for a few months. Though if people do not understand this or try to just dump animals than it destroys market value for everyone including the one that dumped the animals cheap.

Currently these are each of the animals have a different amount of traits and or trait slots.  Sometimes not all the slots are filled as well a starter animal would be first gen and the animals from that will be likely first gen as well meaning very few open trait slots. This can be changed via breeding of the animals whether to higher traited or newer trait animals. A trait is sort of like and animal genes, and or appearance, and you can have many on your amaretto's breeding pets.

Dogs  ~   So for dogs they have many traits and trait slots available to be opened or filled by the breeder or owner.   Right now the most trait slots open currently seen in world on the grid in very clean lines are 13 traits slots and 6 null spots. These are very high trait-ed for the dogs and you will have to either breed a low traited dog to new lower traited animal to get this or go through generation after generation of animals to do so.   so well you could have theoretically 14 traits on a dog with the nulls listed below from the amaretto wiki

Null

  • Ear Size Null ,Size Null,Nose Null,Tail Null , Polish Null, Radiance Null, Sheen Null, Tint Null – Holds the place of Periwinkle, Lilac, Mint, Rose, Sunset, and Sunrise
The Nulls will allow you to have say a 13 trait amaretto K9 yet only pass the non null traits and let the trait spots be open yet unused on the offspring as well.

List of Amaretto K9 traits is also available on the Amaretto K9 Wiki

Barnyard Birds ~      Yes I have and 8 trait Rooster  !   As well there is a new trait slot open for the birds for the new wing trait.
Barnyard birds currently do not carry Null Slots though this will likely be added with and update soon seeing there are now 11 trait spots that could be on a bird so lets se who gets a 9 trait spot bird first ! If you have one contact me here or in world cause I would like to see this bird !!

Amaretto Horses~      Horses have the most traits and open trait slots available with 25 open slots the most I have currently seen.          I will write a little more about this and bring you and interview from one of the oldest of horse breeders soon!  There are 25 open trait slots on the horses and you may have up to 15 nulls on one horse.
